Berleaf Education – Subject Mentoring Service Agreement

This Agreement (“Agreement”) outlines the terms of engagement between Berleaf Education (“Provider”) and the parent or guardian (“Client”). By enrolling a student into the Subject Mentoring service, whether through WhatsApp, email, or other digital means, the Client acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined below.

 


1. Services Provided

Berleaf Education offers Subject Mentoring services that combine academic support with coaching in areas such as time management, motivation, mindset development, and self-regulated learning.

 

2. Learning Plans

  • Minimum Learning Plan: A minimum of three (3) months is encouraged to ensure effective and continuous learning progress.
  • Starter Plan (Trial): A one-month trial is available at a trial rate. If the Client chooses to continue, they transition to the Standard Learning Plan at the regular rate.
  • Standard Learning Plan: For new enrolments without a trial, payment for the first two months is required upfront.

    Example: A student starting in June will make payment for June and July together.


3. Payment Terms

  • Starter Plan Students: One-month payment upfront at trial rate.
  • Standard Plan Students: Two months upfront at regular rate.
  • Ongoing Fees: From the third month onward, monthly fees are collected at the end of each month for the upcoming month.

    Example: End of June → pay for August.

  • Payment Methods: Accepted via PayNow, bank transfer, or auto-debit to Provider’s business UEN 202446793D (Berleaf Education Pte Ltd)

4. Advance Scheduling Before Monthly Planning

  • Monthly schedules are confirmed ahead of time, typically by the end of each month for the month after next (e.g., end June → schedule August).
  • Clients must inform the Provider in advance of any unavailable dates during this scheduling window.
  • Once the schedule is finalized and agreed upon, payment confirms the commitment.

5. Postponement (After Schedule Is Confirmed)

Once the monthly schedule is confirmed, changes or rescheduling are only allowed under the following conditions:

 

General Postponement

  • Requests for postponement require a minimum of 7 days’ notice.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be completed within one week of the original session.
  • Sessions that cannot be rescheduled within this timeframe will be considered forfeited.

Sick Leave Exception

  • Parents must inform the Provider immediately if the student is unwell.
  • Only one sick-related postponement will be accepted per month.
  • The session will be treated as if 7 days’ notice was given.
  • A makeup session will be arranged within one week of the original session, subject to availability.

6. Cancellations and Missed Lessons

  • Cancellations after the schedule is confirmed are considered forfeited.
  • Fees for missed, canceled, or forfeited sessions are strictly non-refundable and cannot be offset against future sessions, regardless of reason.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • Berleaf Education is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Maximum liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant period.

8. Policy Changes

Berleaf Education reserves the right to update this Agreement at any time without prior notice. The most recent version will always be available upon request.

 


9. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
